The fabric used as an accent to our design is a type of songket weaved by women artisans from Tanoti based in Sarawak (borneo), Malaysia. Tanoti is a social enterprise founded in 2012 with the purpose of empowering rural communities and women through textile and weaving craft. [Songket is a hand-woven fabric in silk or cotton, and intricately patterned with gold or silver threads.]
